I loved meeting this family at their farm house in Langley, BC. We decided to take some natural photos in and around their house, starting in this bright and airy nursery. Right as I was packing up to leave, I noticed the fog had rolled in outside, and couldn't resist taking a few more photos with the baby bundled up outside.

This was one of the first newborn sessions that took place in my new home studio. It's a cozy tiny space where you can kick off your shoes and enjoy a cup of coffee while we take a variety of family photos and newborn photos.
I had just shot this sweet babe's birth here a week earlier, so it was pretty special seeing her perfection 1 week from the womb. This photo session happened during a cold-spell here in the Fraser Valley, but luckily this family had an incredibly beautiful sun room that made the photos look warm and cozy (photographer score!) I gently stepped around the walnuts that were drying on the sun room floor to capture these beautiful family shots. Then we went upstairs where I got we did photos of this sweet baby girl in her own nursery (my favourite.) I've been meaning to blog this one for a while. Enjoy.
I absolutely LOVED meeting this family. They hired me to do a newborn session in their hospital room the day after baby's birth. When I arrived, everything was so relaxed. I shot the family as they were... just having family conversations and holding their new little arrival. They didn't feel like they had to pick out outfits or do their hair and makeup (Doesn't this mom look amazing... I promise she didn't have an ounce of makeup on!) I would love to do more of these sessions (hint, hint for anyone reading this) Then 2 weeks later I did more traditional newborn photos at their house. Congratulations to this lovely family of 4. Having a boy and a girl is sooooo special! Then I went to their Abbotsford home 2 weeks later to shoot some more traditional newborn photos:
I was in this family's birth room just over a year ago... and here we are again only a hop skip and jump in time later to meet their second boy. I photographed their full birth journey from maternity to newborn. I went to their house 2 weeks later to do a few newborn photos... See more of their birth journey in this slideshow (enlarge it for better viewing) It's such a delight to photograph a newborn in their own home. When I arrived at this home, it was nice and warm and cozy and babe was happy to go with the flow. We kept the session quite natural... hope you enjoy:)
