Jaydene: The Birth Photographer
Jaydene is the photographer behind Cradled Creations, located in Abbotsford, BC, Canada. She began photographing births in 2009, and has since captured over 200 birth stories.
She co-founded Canadian Birth Photographers in 2011 and has deeply enjoyed watching the birth photography industry grow and change women's perspectives on their birth options and choices.
She won "Image of the Year" in 2017 from International Association of Professional Birth Photographers and has been published in Midwifery Today, Click Magazine, People, Cosmopolitan, Vancouver Sun, and Canadian Family. Her documentary birth film footage has also been featured commercially by Huggies, Dove, Unicef and Facebook.
Her favourite aspect of shooting births is watching how women process their birth stories and see themselves as more powerful than they did before.

Jaydene: The Doula
As a doula, I strive to support women and their partners in their journey to birth and parenthood. I want people to feel comfortable with the idea of labour and delivery and want them to feel comfortable during labour and delivery. Even if you choose to only hire me as a birth photographer, I still consider myself a part of a woman's birth team. I will always assist my photography clients during birth and help them experience the best labour and birth experience possible.
Jaydene: The Mother
I am a busy mother of 4. If i'm not running off to a birth, or editing photos into the late night hours, I'm taking pictures of my own kids, making new prints and canvases for our house, searching for snails in my backyard, cleaning up play dough, or in my kitchen making snacks, cleaning up snacks or putting away snacks. I love to be busy!
