This beautiful mama has delivered hundreds of babies and it was finally her turn to bring life into this world. We were all cheering her on. She had a very difficult labour through the night at home and when she started involuntarily pushing at 3cm, she knew she had to transfer into the hospital. Through much hard work and determination, she birth her little girl safely into her arms. Welcome here Amity. Amity's Birth Story...Welcome home...

I photographed this little guy when he was still just a baby bump. It was so lovely meeting him in his lovely nursery. Mama spent a lot of time nesting in this room.
There was so much love put into your room. Enjoy sleeping in this cozy little cabin. I loved meeting this family at their farm house in Langley, BC. We decided to take some natural photos in and around their house, starting in this bright and airy nursery. Right as I was packing up to leave, I noticed the fog had rolled in outside, and couldn't resist taking a few more photos with the baby bundled up outside.
This photo session happened during a cold-spell here in the Fraser Valley, but luckily this family had an incredibly beautiful sun room that made the photos look warm and cozy (photographer score!) I gently stepped around the walnuts that were drying on the sun room floor to capture these beautiful family shots. Then we went upstairs where I got we did photos of this sweet baby girl in her own nursery (my favourite.) I've been meaning to blog this one for a while. Enjoy.
I just love photographing a baby in their own bedroom... it's so special to see all the work that mama put into making a beautiful haven for herself and her baby. I personally love spending time in my own son's nursery, looking at the photos on the wall and the gifts on the shelf... and so when I saw Jack's nursery, I knew we would do our photo session in there. Dad also requested some sports themed photos. This session was too much fun!
What a treat to photograph this little guy and the beautiful details that surround him in his woodland themed nursery. His mom is a crafty lady. She made his mobile with some twigs from her backyard and her cricut machine. She also makes the little stuffed owls that are shown in the old carriage (that belonged to her as a child.) Since the photoshoot was woodland themed we used some great little knit hats given to her by a co-worker, Nicola. You can order any of the knit hats shown in this photoshoot by emailing her here: [email protected]. We ended the shoot by placing Henry on the huge REAL Grizzly that daddy shot, stuffed and put in their entry way... hahaha... he looked so small sitting atop this massive bear. |
