Fast forward 7 years and we were both due around the same time and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to photograph her birth, but it all worked out. She preferred that I wait outside while she birthed and hop in the room once the baby was out. Luckily, I waited outside her door for probably only 5 minutes until the baby's head was out, and she called for me to come in. The first photo below was captured about 15 seconds after Finley's birth.
Her birth got all my hormones going while I was there and I started having seriously intense braxton hicks. As I was driving home to Abbotsford (1 hour drive home) my braxton hicks were coming every 3 minutes apart and I thought my labour was starting. My early labour kept up the next 2 days and I had my own baby 2 days later:)
