It's so lovely to look at pregnant women: they are carrying LIFE within them! I'm 35 weeks now and no longer romanticize the beauty of pregnancy. I've become used to the leg cramps, the extra gas, the hunger spells that strike at midnight, the extra weight (and very flabby arms), bacne, and constant crying. Today, my day started by dry heaving up stomach bile in the shower and then when I got out and dried off I thought I found my first stretch mark (it was a huge dark streak on my side). Luckily I wasn't wearing my glasses and my husband relieved me by telling me it was only a dark vein. Don't worry, my day did get better when I was showered with love and gifts from my friends. Now my discomfort is forgotten because I'm sitting here looking at all the beautiful things my baby will have. A few of my favourite gifts: Chewbeads (a stylish necklace for mom, a healthy teether for baby- it can be bought at Nine Boutique here in Abbotsford), a muslin swaddle blanket from aden & anais (a breathable fabric great for summer), a Mallybib (a leather bib made right here in Canada). This week I'm hoping to find some energy to purge some junk from my house and hopefully get started on transitioning the office to the nursery. I'm not too worried if everything isn't tickity-boo by the time the baby comes since it will be sleeping in a bassinet in my room to start, but I am anxious to get things organized. I also want to sew curtains for my bedroom, a crib skirt, and a baby sling, as well as paint our armoire and side table white to match the crib in the nursery. I also want to frame a maternity photo for the nursery... have any suggestions on which one I should pick? Thanks for your feedback. I'll keep you posted on my progress and projects.

I love your post- you are so honest! you look beautiful in your pictures- i think its such a great idea for moms to take pictures of themselves while they are pregnant, its such a gift to their kids. I don't have any of my mom from when she was pregnant with me and I so wish I did. Love you jayde xxoo

I like the same one you do, maybe crop it vertically, and then the houses wouldn't be a problem? I could take out that house to the right of you if you wanted? I hope that makes sense.
