Olivia: Abbotsford Birth Photos

This was such an amazing birth. I absolutely LOVE photographing births attended by midwives and doulas! These parents assembled an all-star team which made for an absolutely beautiful experience for everyone involved. To be honest I agreed to shoot this birth at 38 weeks pregnant myself, just because the mom and dad seemed so informed about their birth options, and they had hired my own midwives from West Coast Health Collective. I thought it would be a beautiful experience to capture and it was! Their doula Michelle Dennille of Bloom Birth was incredible. She was always supporting someone in the room (whether it was handing the dad something to drink, getting jelly for the midwife, or rubbing the mom's sore legs, she was such a calming support!) The doula and midwife worked so well together by putting mom in many different positions to push, and after trying it all, mom finally pushed a beautiful surprise baby girl! Congratulations to this new family... I loved watching both of you immediately fall in love with your new addition.
